In this environment, the Thai government is led by Prime Minister Traipop. Prime Minister Traipop is a young politician known for putting the public interest ahead of political considerations. Eighteen years after the devastating 2004 tsunami, the Traipop government established the National Disaster Alert Center, headed by Dr. Siam and a team of young professionals.
